Same time as before: Saturday workday on the Carpenters tool trailer (cleanup, inventory, see what needs replacing) as well as helping Waverly Baptist Church do a small roof job on the tin roof of its Fellowship Hall wing.

Our mission trip this year will be to Leighton, AL. We’ll be helping Colbert Bethel Missionary Baptist Church to frame the interior of their 2-story tall new community life building. This year we’ll have an intensive 9 day mission from May 29-June 7 (advance crew will leave prior to this start date on May 27); please arrive on site ready to go the night before May 29, if you’re able to. Lodging location is still being discussed and will be announced as soon as we know. Dues will be $175 for adult men, $75 for young men, under 18 years old. God truly blessed us with a fruitful mission to Breakthrough Church of God in Sylvania. Here are a few photos from the trip:
Please keep Lenoye Combs in prayer; he is doing well after surgery on his pelvic bone at UAT. Hopefully he’ll be discharged soon, but he’ll have about 6-8 weeks of therapy afterwards. He passes along that he is very thankful for all the prayers, he really appreciates it! Thanks to all of you who have been praying for him…please continue!
Obie Fuller, our whistleblower, is in the hospital (East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL). His doctor did a heart cath on him, and he has a blockage on the back side of his heart. He is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday at EAMC. He is in the hospital today waiting for surgery, as they wouldn’t let him go home. He has an 8 week recovery after the surgery, so he’ll be missing the trip this year. He is feeling fine otherwise, just bored because he feels like he needs to do something! 🙂 He would covet your prayers!
CFC board will be meeting soon to discuss whistleblower duties for this year’s trip. We’ll keep you posted.

We had a fruitful workday on Jan. 17, 2022. The much needed ladder racks were added onto the tool trailer. Many thanks to those who were able to come and to help get the job done. Now we have more room for the trip to Roland, OK, in June! Make your plans to come with us!
