Below are a few photos from the training session we had at Waverly Baptist Church on March 30, 2019. We were given a safety lecture by Emory Combs, as well as some hands-on work with cutting and assembling metal studs. Please contact Don Wall or Emory Combs ASAP to let us know if you can go on the mission this year to Woodward, OK.
March 30th we will have a commitment class to train everyone on what we will be doing in Woodward, OK. Metal studs will replace wood on this build. Also we need to have your input on this years mission. This will take place in Waverly AL, at the Community Center (same place we had the BBQ some time back). For those who may not know, the outdoor pavilion at the Community Center is just behind Waverly Baptist Church. Please let Don or Emory know ASAP if you will be coming on this year’s mission.
Start time is 8am CDT (that’s 9am EDT for Eastern Time Zone). See you there!
Our mission target this year is a church in Woodward, OK. The 1000 Hills Ranch Church needs our help with interior framing (similar to what we did on last year’s mission). Their website is http://1000hillsranch.church/

Also, several of the Carpenters on March 2, helped to transfer the tools and gear from our old trailer to the new one! See the photo below for what it looks like:
After prayer and discussion, we will be going to Red Level, AL (near Andalusia) to help Buck Creek Baptist Church with the inside of their new building. They will already have a 2-story metal frame, up and roofed by the time we get there. We will have a TON of inside framing to do in this building, so please make your plans to attend. We’ll need every man we can get!
The church is landlocked in their current location, and this building is on 7 acres that a church member donated to the church. Their pastor is Bro. Tyler Ingram. We’ll be staying at the nearby high school.
Advance team will leave and arrive on Monday, June 4. Full crew needs to arrive on Wednesday, June 6. Mission will end on Saturday June 16.
Also, an important note: For those of you who will be needing to apply for a scholarship, you MUST apply for it with the CFC board BEFORE the mission trip. Please don’t wait until you arrive at the mission; there are only a limited number of scholarships. We would never let cost get in the way of anyone wanting to go and serve on this mission, but we need to know before the trip. Please contact any member of the CFC board to apply. Thanks!
Recent email from our whistleblower, Don Wall:
Our mission to Kentucky has been canceled. The church in Kentucky is going to wait. Therefore we will be looking for a new mission for next year. Please pray that God’s mission for us will make itself known in time. If any of you hear of a possible trip please let me know.
