Shiloh Baptist build project (local weekend project)

The project at Shiloh is scheduled to start on October 20 and 21. Emory Combs wants to know how many will be there on Friday and Saturday since the Church is preparing lunch. If you know anyone that does not have E-MAIL and would like to help with this project please let them know and if they can help let me or Emory know.

The Slab has been poured and they are in the process of getting material for the build.

Remember we need a head count for lunch.

Shiloh is located at the intersection of CR53 and CR 121 in Western Chambers County, AL

Great mission 2017! Next event, the end of year banquet

Carpenters, God used us in a mighty way this year, despite the devil’s intentions to sidetrack us. The building looks great (pictures to be on the website later). Hope everyone got home safely and had a chance to rest.

The next event is our end of year banquet:

Date: Saturday, August 5, 2017
Location:
Family Life Center
Langdale United Methodist Church
6301 20th Avenue
Valley, AL 36854
(Same location as last year’s banquet)
Time: 6:00pm CDT/ 7:00pm EDT
Each Carpenter (or Sponsor) plus one guest is included in the cost of the trip.
For each additional guest attending the banquet, there will be a $10.00 charge.

Shirts, caps, etc., will be on sale at the banquet, as well as any DVDs that you ordered (don’t worry, there are extras in case you forgot to order.)

See you then!

Last minute details for Double Springs AL mission trip 2017

A few quick updates:
– By now, you should’ve received your mission info book and registration info from Don Wall. If not, please contact him ASAP.
– Due to unforeseen booking issue, we will NOT be staying at the middle school as detailed in the info booklet. We will be staying in the air-conditioned cafeteria of the school located next to the job site. Report to the job site, and you’ll be directed from there.
– There was a typo on the address of the job site. The correct address is: 25461 Hwy 195, Double Springs, AL 35553. Don Smith is the DOM and his contact number is 205-627-1185.
– Two churches have asked us to give testimonies on Sunday of the mission (morning and evening). Instead of the usual Carpenters service, we’ll be participating in their respective services. Please pray about giving a testimony.

Thanks; be safe on the road, and we’ll see you in Double Springs!
